One of the biggest mysteries in Russian history – What or who slaughtered nine hikers?

This is the first time I’ve ever heard of this and it truly is stunning. They obviously have done a good job in keeping it as quiet as they possibly could and maybe now we can bring it out into the open and give it the exposure it rightly deserves.

We’ve all heard of cattle mutilations, but this goes one step further. The condition that these hikers were found is appalling and shocking. How could nine people become so scared that they had to cut their way out of a tent then run barefoot through snow to their doom?

In 1959 a group of experienced hikers had set out upon one of Siberias mountains until something whent incredibly wrong. After it was realised the hikers were mising, a search team found the tent with its outer doors still buttoned up and warm clothing, equipment and other items still inside the tent. The temperature outside was around the minus twenty four degree mark.. and the hikers were barefoot..

Dyatlov Pass incident

from here, we read this…

Lev Ivanov, could find no answers. He concluded in his hastily composed report that all nine deaths had been caused by what he described as ‘an unknown elemental force which they were unable to overcome’.

Privately, he told people he thought they’d been killed by aliens in a UFO.

When the bodies were found, they were described as looking as though they had aged, skin colour was different and one had had the tongue removed, another had skull damage so severe it looked like they’d been in a car crash, others had ribs crushed and there was an overall recording of radiation present.It appears, from this combined image that they had all run quite a distance before things cae to a horrible end;

4503783798_46d58241be_o

Although the barefoot prints of the hikers had been found in the snow leading away from the tent, there was no other trace of anything, or anyone, coming anywhere near the tent. So what gave them such a scare? It would seem that whatever frightened them so badly was inside the tent and unbottoning the tent to escape would have taken too long in such a panic.

From this rather impressive sketch, we can almost get a sense of what occurred over that time period. We see them leaving the base camp, setting up camp out in the field and then, according to the direction the footprints are pointing, they all headed off in one direction. Four were found dead at this first point near the tree line of a forest. It seems the group then almost doubled back on themselves. Two more fell just inside the tree line and then the final three were taken down in what looks like one action as they all face the same way as though hit from behind. Only with further images and the full detailed report of how they were found can this idea of the final events be confirmed, but this image seems to say a lot about it.

From other images, the distance they ran, some barefoot others in just socks, was 1.5km in the snow.

It would seem that the idea of alien visitors doing this might be the only thing left to explain this mystery. But it’s not the normal thing we hear about.. When was the last time you ever heard of anything remotely like this?

A mystery that may never be solved.

Apparently, this is the last photograph to be taken found on the roll of film inside the camera the team used.. It is yet to be explained as to what we are seeing, if anything.

This site gives us a fantastic report on the events. Mostly taken from the diary of the team plus autopsy reports etc.

Hunt for Intelligent Aliens Focuses on Faint Laser Flashes

I, for one, am always open to new methodsof communication and laser lights seemed to be one of the best and easiest methods we could use.. The light travels fast, can be seen from almost all directions and will keep travelling so that our position can be pinpointed..

But are we ready for the results? Can we really say we’d be happy to receive a contact? Would we really tell the world that we had found something of this nature being pointed at us? If history is anything to by, then we might have a hard time getting to that..

The Comet and the Laser

When it comes to detecting laser pulses aliens might shoot at Earth to attract our attention, scientists now find they can detect signals as faint as a single photon of light every few tiny fractions of a second.

Astronomers have gazed at the skies for decades searching for signs of extraterrestrial intelligence. Lasers can in principle help transmit messages over extraordinary distances, but while scientists have monitored a large number of stars looking for alien laser signals — for instance, facilities at Harvard and Princeton scanned more than 10,000 sun-like stars for several years — no evidence for any have been found yet.

Prior attempts to look for extraterrestrial laser signals concentrated on isolated bursts of light, ones so extraordinarily intense they are likely artificial. In contrast, laser scientist Walter Leeb at the Vienna University of Technology in Austria and his colleagues are focusing on repetitive, faint laser signals received over a sufficiently long amount of time. [13 Ways to Hunt Intelligent Aliens]

“We assumed that aliens would use the simplest possible way of attracting our attention, one already implemented in seafaring since ancient times using lighthouses — that is, periodic light pulses,” Leeb said.

Fossil insects tweak date of deadly “Atlantis” eruption

well, that’s great news! But what about Atlantis? Where was it, if it ever existed? Why does this report feel the need to link an erruption to Atlantis? I have read how some people think Atlantis was in the mediterranean whilst others argue it’s the reason we call the atlantic ocean the atlantic ocean.. becasue Atlantis was there.

How can we be so sure that this particular erruption was THE one? Perhaps, the truth behind the legend will one day come to the surface and we may be rather surprised by what we find.. I certainly hope so..

An article by Colin, similar to this one, appeared in the London Daily Mail on Saturday, August 21, 2004.

Atlantis in the Mediterranean?

IN a month’s time, I intend to set off with a team of explorers in search of the lost continent of Atlantis.

Our destination is not, as you might suppose, the mid-Atlantic, or even (as I once believed) the continent of Antarctica. It is the island of Cyprus. For new evidence seems to indicate that the lost Atlantis is the southern part of the island, which was submerged more than eleven thousand years ago, when the Atlantic ocean burst though the dam of mountains that stretched between Gibraltar and North Africa, and created the Mediterranean.

A new study of insect pests found in an ancient storage jar on the Greek island of Santorini suggests the major volcanic eruption that took place there around 1600 B.C.—and which may have inspired the legend of Atlantis—happened in early summer.

The “Atlantis” eruption was one of the most significant volcanic eruptions in human history. The blast is credited for not only ending the Minoan civilization, but also for affecting ancient Egypt and other communities around the eastern Mediterranean, explained Eva Panagiotakopulu, a palaeoecologist and fossil-insect expert at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

Based on previous evidence, scientists had concluded that the eruption happened sometime between 1627 to 1600 B.C. But there has been one important and unresolved question about the event: What season did it take place in?

In a new study, published in a recent issue of the journal Naturwissenschaften, Panagiotakopulu and her team now say that based on insect remains found in a jar containing seeds of sweet peas discovered at the Bronze Age settlement of Akrotiri, they think the eruption occurred sometime between June to early July.

It was only during these months, the scientists say, that the insect, a species of bean weevil, would have had an opportunity to infest the crops and end up in the storage area.

“There is a short window from early to mid summer just after threshing which could justify the assemblage [of insects] recovered,” Panagiotakopulu explained in an email.

Tweets printed by home-built ticker-tape machine

This is one of those things you buy if you’re rich, bored, or happy to put up with the tick tick tick of the machine printing your tweets.. What’s the point? What do you do with the paper afterwards? Put it in a box and into a storage cupboard but remembering to write down a brief description of tweets, time received and who from?

Yeah, it might be a cool little toy to show off to your friends.. It could give you the experience of how things were donebut not sure if I would want one.. It’s bad enough having to buy ink for a modern printer.. with this you’d be forever running out to get a roll of ticker tape.. :)

It’s a nice piece of art, histry and modern technology but i think we could have found something more useful to do with our time.. Saying that, I doubt I would be able to build one :)

This reminds me of he Titanic II that is being built and planned to sail in 2016..

First testing of Titanic II to take place

Are we really that bored that we cannot come up with something original to do?

The ticker tweeter report..

A web developer from Cumbria has built a modern version of a 19th Century ticker-tape machine which prints out tweets.

The ‘twittertape’ device was built from scratch using second-hand parts from clocks and other sources, said creator Adam Vaughan.

The wooden base hides a thermal printer and a micro-controller, he added.

Share prices were traditionally distributed via telegraph lines and printed out on ticker-tape machines.

They were invented in 1867 and some original machines are now considered to be high value antiques.

“I have a keen interest in history and have always been fascinated by ticker-tape machines as a design piece,” Mr Vaughan told the BBC.

Future telescope to be 10X sharper than Hubble telescope

An enormous mirror will be cast inside a scorching-hot furnace Saturday, marking a key milestone in the development of a future telescope that will collect more light than any instrument built to date.

The Giant Magellan Telescope mirror, the third of the seven primary mirrors planned for the observatory, will be 27 feet across and weigh 20 tons when complete. It will be forged from chunks of borosilicate glass subjected to temperatures of 2,140 degrees Fahrenheit inside a rotating furnace Saturday at the University of Arizona’s Steward Observatory Mirror Lab in Tucson.

Once cast and polished, these seven mirrors will be arranged to function as a single mirror 80 feet in diameter, giving the $700 million GMT a resolving power 10 times greater than that of NASA’s famous Hubble Space Telescope once the new instrument is up and running in northern Chile in 2020. Ancient mound in Greece fuels heady speculation

Is Greece about to strike gold.. again?

After the news of the pyramid structure we find ourselves possibly looking at the grave of Alexander the great..

If it is, then what a find that will be.. One of the types of finds that you hope would happen..

here is the report..

Greece’s Culture Ministry has warned against “overbold” speculation that an ancient artificial mound being excavated could contain a royal Macedonian grave or even Alexander the Great.

Site archaeologist Aikaterini Peristeri has voiced hopes of finding “a significant individual or individuals” within.

Pyramid in Argos, Greece

I recently posted about how there are global connections to many things, such as the Pyramids, around the world.

Global connections..

Turns out we may be having to add to the list of connectons on a weekly, if not daily, basis due to the immense amount of discoveries being made.

Here is one in Greece..

“When we hear the word pyramids, our minds immediately go to Egypt; however there are pyramids scattered all over the world : America, Europe, Asia and India. One of those pyramids that few know is the pyramid of Hellenikon in Argos, Greece.

The ancient Greek traveller and geographer Pausanias, in his Description of Greece, refers to the Pyramid of Hellinikon close to Argos.”

On the way from Argos to Epidauria there is on the right a building made very like a pyramid, and on it in relief are wrought shields of the Argive shape. Here took place a fight for the throne between Proetus and Acrisius; the contest, they say, ended in a draw, and a reconciliation resulted afterwards, as neither could gain a decisive victory. The story is that they and their hosts were armed with shields, which were first used in this battle. For those that fell on either side was built here a common tomb, as they were fellow citizens and kinsmen. Pausanias: 2.25″

Detroit goes to the dogs

Detroit is in trouble. But why? Why has this large city come to an almost grinding halt? With the car industry almost wiped out of the city, there has been very little reason to go there. Yes, there are still jobs there but not enough to support all of those that once garced the area.

Detroit_410472b

Why is it being left to ruin? Is it part of some plan of getting everyone out of some cities in order to bundle them together in a mega city? The type of mega city we see in he English comic book stories of Judge Dredd. I read once of a super highway stretching from Mexico to Canada whilst the vast majority of the USA was left to itself and allowed to return to the wiilds, whilst all the people live in mega cities.

Java Printing

But this is  just the tip of the iceberg. There is a major problem there right now and one that will get so out of control that we will be highering gun men to go and hunt down and destroy packs of wild dogs.. and these dogs will spread. It reminds me of the mini series “the last train” where a group of people find themselves in a future time and packs of wild dogs take on the challenge of killing a couple of people and eating them.. rather succesfully too!

this clip may not be suitable for everyone, but it is here as an example of what might happen in Detroit pretty soon.

“As the human exodus from bankrupt Detroit picks up speed, packs of feral dogs are overrunning the city’s streets and abandoned buildings.

Bloomberg reports that as many as 50,000 canines prowl through the Motor City’s darkened roads and condemned houses, causing serious problems for the few people that remain.

“It was almost post-apocalyptic,” said Amanda Arrington of the Humane Society, who visited the city last October. “There are no businesses, nothing except people in houses and dogs running around.”

Animal control personnel are hamstrung by the city’s shoestring budget, and overcrowded shelters are forced to euthanize more than 70 percent of the dogs brought in.

As dog owners abandon Detroit, many leave their canine companions to fend for themselves. The animals often form packs around a female in heat, and then go looking for trouble.

One police officer told a story about a pack of 20 pooches found in the flooded basement of an abandoned home.

“The dogs were having a pool party,” he said. “We went in and fished them out.”

The basement initially flooded after thieves hacked out the water pipes.

The threat of dog attacks have forced the Postal Service to temporarily halt delivery in certain neighborhoods. One mail carrier recalled using clouds of pepper spray to disperse swarms of small but savage hounds.

“It’s like Chihuahuaville,” she said.

One woman was attacked four months ago by two strays while sitting on her porch. The animals tore off the woman’s scalp during the assault.

Detroit’s problems extend beyond their canine infestation. The city declared bankruptcy last July, possesses over $18 billion in long-term debt and has run up a deficit of nearly $400 million this year.”

“Absolutely Every One” Bluefin Tuna Tested In California Waters Contaminated with Fukushima Radiation

We noted more than a year ago:

The ocean currents head from Japan to the West Coast of the U.S.

***

Of course, fish don’t necessarily stay still, either. For example, the Telegraph notes that scientists tagged a bluefin tuna and found that it crossed between Japan and the West Coast three times in 600 days:

And see this.

CNN reports today:

Low levels of radioactive cesium from Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident turned up in fish caught off California in 2011, researchers reported Monday.

The bluefin spawn off Japan, and many migrate across the Pacific Ocean. Tissue samples taken from 15 bluefin caught in August, five months after the meltdowns at Fukushima Daiichi, all contained reactor byproducts cesium-134 and cesium-137 at levels that produced radiation about 3% higher than natural background sources

The Wall Street Journal quotes the studies’ authors:

“The tuna packaged it up and brought it across the world’s largest ocean,” said marine ecologist Daniel Madigan at Stanford University, who led the study team. “We were definitely surprised to see it at all and even more surprised to see it in every one we measured.”

***

“We found that absolutely every one of them had comparable concentrations of cesium-134 and cesium-137,” said marine biologist Nicholas Fisher at Stony Brook University in New York state, who was part of the study group.

The bad news is that it is only going to get worse.

As Reuters points out:

Astronomers Discover New Earth-Sized Exoplanet Kepler 78b

An international team of astronomers reporting in the Astrophysical Journal (arXiv.org) has discovered an Earth-sized exoplanet called Kepler 78b that orbits its parent star in a mere 8.5 hours.

The astronomers, led by Dr Buchhave from the University of Copenhagen, looked through more than 150,000 stars that were monitored by NASA’s Kepler Telescope. Their goal was to look for Earth-sized planets with very short orbital periods.

“We’ve gotten used to planets having orbits of a few days. But we wondered, what about a few hours? Is that even possible? And sure enough, there are some out there,” explained co-author Dr Joshua Winn of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Kepler 78b is extremely close to its star – about 40 times closer than Mercury is to our Sun. Its orbital radius is only about 3 times the radius of the parent G-type star Kepler 78, also known as KIC 8435766.

The planet is most certainly not habitable, due to its extreme proximity to its host star.

'One Way Astronaut' Film Follows Aspiring Mars Colonists

A new documentary profiles the people who are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice: leaving Earth on a one-way trip to Mars.

The film, “One Way Astronaut,” tells the story of the Mars One mission to send colonists to Mars starting in 2023. It follows four of the nearly 80,000 aspiring astronauts who have applied for the mission, which is the brainchild of Dutch entrepreneur Bas Lansdorp.

“We are always looking to find engaging stories,” filmmaker Kai Dieho said. “Here you have a group of people willing to give up everything they have to be pioneers. There’s a lot of drama in there.” [Watch the film trailer for 'One Way Astronaut']

The full movie is available now in under a pay-per-view format.

The first applicant profiled is Stephan Guenther, a 44-year-old software engineer and pilot from Germany who has a wife and three kids. In the film, Guenther said it’s his dream to go to Mars, even though it means leaving his family behind.

Decorated boulder in United States reveals links to Early Bronze Age Ireland

Again, we see yet another item of archaeological interest that points at the fact that we were spread across the globe at some point and not just living in small groups using stones to scratch each others backs and make pretty pictures in caves.

Oh no, we were far more than that.. A lot more..

Posted recently was another set of examples which you can read about here.

“After 11 years of searching the Funk Heritage Museum, near Atlanta, Georgia, has identified the 11-foot long boulder decorated with ancient petroglyphs are being identical to those found along the Atlantic Coast in Ireland, which date from the Early Bronze Age.

The new discovery creates more questions about North America’s history than it answers.

Dr Joseph Kitchens, Director of the Funk Museum, on the campus of Reinhard University took over the challenge back in 2008 to find out where this massive boulder with concentric rings, circles, crosses and stars (what archaeologists call petroglyphs) carved into its side came from.

Having ruled out the more likely sources such as Native American Indians Kitchens cast his search wider and found his answer last week in Northern Ireland, according to reports in The Examiner.

Kitchens contacted the Irish Megalithic Organization and its founder, author Anthony Weir. It has been confirmed that this boulder in Georgia is identical to many found in Ireland. Weir has been documenting and photography petroglyphs in Ireland for over 30 years.”

Copper identified as culprit in Alzheimer's disease

Have you got old plumbing in your house?

At one time, we used to have lead pipes that fed our water supplies to us. Millions of us have copper pipes in our homes and workplaces. Over the last few years, there has a been a ‘silent promotion’ of plastic pipes for water feeds. You might have seenthem, black poly pipe for mains water into a building then red and blue pipes internally.

I wonder why these new pipes were introduced a few years back. Did someone know something back then and has just not said anything? If this copper poison is the cause of Alzheimers then why is there so very little media coverage on the subject?

“Copper appears to be one of the main environmental factors that trigger the onset and enhance the progression of Alzheimer’s disease by preventing the clearance and accelerating the accumulation of toxic proteins in the brain. That is the conclusion of a study appearing today in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

“It is clear that, over time, copper’s cumulative effect is to impair the systems by which amyloid beta is removed from the brain,” said Rashid Deane, Ph.D., a research professor in the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) Department of Neurosurgery, member of the Center for Translational Neuromedicine, and lead author of the study. “This impairment is one of the key factors that cause the protein to accumulate in the brain and form the plaques that are the hallmark of Alzheimer’s disease.”

Copper’s presence in the food supply is ubiquitous. It is found in drinking water carried by copper pipes, nutritional supplements, and in certain foods such as red meats, shellfish, nuts, and many . The mineral plays an important and beneficial role in , bone growth, the formation of connective tissue, and .”

France plans on doubling organic farmland area by 2017

Recently, many people around the world have been up in arms against Monsanto and GMO crops/food. There is growing concern about the safety of these manufacatured sources of food. We have seen a flood of images where people are wearing full hazmat suits and spraying crops with pesticides. If these pesticides are safe to be sprayed on our food, why the need for a hazmat suit?

Many countries are now banning GMO/Monsanto items of all kinds and are foccusing on organic fostuffs. Of course, organic food is nothing new. We’ve been eating it for hundreds of thousands of years. At this time, though, the corporations are having a field day with the high prices on these organic foods. It is an artificially inflated price on something that we all have the right to.

The supermarket chains have cornered the market on food supplies tthrough the use of GMO foods and have wiped out much of the competition and have taken over farm lands and put many farmers out of business. Soon the supermarkets will be supplying us with all organic foods, but how will the prices reflect this in, what seems to be, a total scam.

These GMO crops and pesticides are being blamed on the vast amount of deaths in bee colonies. Without the bees, we are almost doomed.

France is taking a step forwards;

According to the country’s Agricultural Minister, France wants to double the area of farmland devoted to organic agriculture by 2017 to meet growing consumer demand through local production.

France is the European Union’s biggest agricultural producer and has lately seen rapid growth of organic framing, which, at the end of 2012, accounted for 3.7 percent of its farmland.

Agriculture Minister Stephane Le Foll said that they want to increase the amount of research and training in growing techniques and the amount of organic food available in outlets.

“We’re going to develop in such a way that we’ll increase volume while maintaining the level of quality,” he said. “I want the French (organic) sector to be a high-quality one.”

The French government plans to raise annual subsidies for organic farmers from 90 million euros to an average of 160 million euros between 2014 and 2020.

Officials said that attracting organic farmers remains a challenge due to the high yields and profitable market prices seen with conventional grain.

Is comet Ison really a comet? or is it an alien Spacecraft?

There seems to be a bit of doubt as to what comet Ison really is.

A  new video has been posted that has given a buzz to the internet.. The images are presented in such a way that makes some kind of sense to me, but I am not a photography expert or an ‘objects in space’ expert either..  I amsure that there are some of you out there who know exactly what this guy is talking about and it is upon you that we rely..

The images in the video seem to be hinting at comet Ison being three objects, or one object that appears to have three lumionous parts to it. What bothers me is how it still manages to have, what appears to be, a corona.

I’m quite excited about the comet and its flypast.. so much so that I put an interactive map of its journey on my site here;

http://www.chauvetdreams.co.uk/comet-ison/

So, because of this new video, here I am discussing this from another point of view.

Here is the video, and I would appreciate oppinions and/or facts in the comments section as I would like to get to the bottom of this.

I thought it might be lense flare or three extreme forward facing parts of the comet that are being lit up by the sun..  but I can only guess the best I can.

So, come in and throw your thoughts at this interesting video.

'Planet X?' Odd Orbits In Solar System May Mean Unseen Object, Astronomer Conjectures

A planet four times the size of Earth may be skirting the edges of the solar system beyond Pluto, according to new research. Too distant to be easily spotted by Earth-based telescopes, the unseen planet could be gravitationally tugging on small icy objects past Neptune, helping explain the mystery of those objects’ peculiar orbits.

The claim comes from Rodney Gomes, a noted astronomer at the National Observatory of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro. Gomes presented his recently completed computer models suggesting the existence of the distant planet at a meeting of the American Astronomical Society in Timberline Lodge, Ore., earlier this month.

Astronomers who attended the talk find Gomes’ arguments compelling, but they say much more evidence is needed before the hypothetical planet can be crowned as real.

For several years, astronomers have observed that a handful of the small icy bodies that lie in the so-called “scattered disc” beyond the orbit of the planet Neptune, including the dwarf planet Sedna, deviate from the paths around the sun that would be expected based on the gravitational pulls of all the known objects in the solar system.

Sedna, for example, swings around the sun in an extremely elongated orbit — tracing out a very long oval. “Sedna’s orbit is truly peculiar,” said Mike Brown, an astronomer at Caltech who led the team that discovered Sedna in 2003.

However, when Gomes ran the same calculations with the addition of the gravitational pull of a massive planet at the outskirts of the solar system, Sedna and the other anomalous objects’ expected orbits fell in line with observations. The unseen planet would be too far away to perceptibly perturb the motions of Earth and the other inner planets, but close enough to the scattered disc objects to sway them. [The True Stories of 5 Mystery Planets]

The book of shadows and the rise of wicca

Wicca is now one of the worlds fastest growing belief systems. It is a rather new religion in comparison and was started by a man named Gerald Gardner.

The odd thing is, though, is that it is relatively new in its shape and form. Most people would associate Wicca with devil worship, scarifices and sexual orgies, all in the name of invoking the devil, or Satan.

How wrong those people are.

Wicca is more along the lines of Harry Potter but without the wand and all the whizz, pop, bang that goes with the general events at Hogwarts. Yes, it is about the use of spells or methods with which to ensure good tidings.. a bit like Feng Shui in a way.

So let’s cut to the chase and say the word that is mostly connected to Wicca… Witchcraft..  Yes, that which most people think is evil or tends to end up getting a bit hot and crispy tied to a stake whilst an angry mob swarms around you crying “witch!”

tumblr_mpe0z4pjme1s4yhwxo1_500

It is a religion and way of life. It is the craft with only the utmost respect for Mother Nature. They may possess supernatural abilities and can perform rituals that are out of the ordinary but they are not what the society pictures them to be.

Witchcraft has been with humanity probably since we first needed help or guidance or realised there was more to life than hunting and gathering. Modern witchcraft has its rules and a witch will have his/her own book of shadows.

The book of shadows, giving its first appearance thanks to the hands of the pioneering Wiccan Gerald Gardner sometime in the late 1940s or early 1950s, and which he utilised first in his Bricket Wood coven and then in other covens which he founded in following decades. The concept of the Book of Shadows was then adopted by other Wiccan traditions,

It  used to be that each coven would have one book and that was held by the top dog, er, i mean witch..but it soon evolved into everyone having their own copy. I guess this saved the head witch from being woken up at three in the morning with someone rapping on the door trying to get a spell to stop their partner snoring..

I might sound as though I am mocking Wicca, but i assure you I am not as voodoo is also a part of this ancient skill and is held highly by those who follow and practice it.. Also, as a rule, I try not to knock that which I do not understand for that is kinda foolish, especially when things come back around and slap you in the face. Voodoo is just one of the other varities of witchcraft practiced throughout the world and many cultures have had their own versions of both.

SFA-Voodoo-092

So where is Wicca going? Why is it becoming a major player on the world stage? Could it be that many of us are waking up to the fact that we must do more to protect our planet and ensure we pass on a good, clean environment to those who will come next? Have our minds grown in inteligence to a point where we no longer fear the power and control of the governments and their propaganda systems, sales techniques and drive for greed, profit and possesion of material items?

Are we becoming that which we have always been but have been supressed for thousands of years?

If our ancient history is anything to go by, then we may be finding ourselves once again. Some seem to think there was a race of beings here on earth many thousands of years ago that had incredible knowledge and skills and built some wonderous things. But they are no longer here. Some think these beings were from another planet or cross bred with us to help us improve for some reason..  Either way, there is something going on.

Current events in Egypt with protests and battles against the Islamic bortherhood are being thrown in our faces daily. Why, i wonder, are so many people following something that wishes to invoke sharia law? Have you ever read about it and some of the things it wishes to impose? If not, go do so now..

It is on par with the medieval inquisition and the Christian church burning people at the stake for being witches or for heresy or simply not believing in some imaginary entity named God!

Let’s make no mistake here.. a vast majority of global religions have all been to blame for more bloodshed and death than any other reason. The crusades, the Jewish slaughter during WW2, the battles in northern Ireland against Catholics and Protestants and many more….

Wicca is making its move and the original book of shadows seems to have some power behind it.

It is locked away in a secure vault and is worth a LOT of money, which is kinda odd when you think about it.

Gerald Gardner, the “father of Wicca”, first introduced the Book of Shadows to people that he had initiated into the craft. He claimed that it was a personal cookbook of spells that have worked for the owner; they could copy from his own book and add or remove material as they saw fit. A lot like the internets Wikipedia then? Witchcrafts very own Wiccapedia!

We have been seeing this exact same thing going on with the Christian church too.. especially out of the mouths of those who reside in the Vatican.. What a pit of snakes and swine that is.. with its St. Peters square, which is not square..it’s round, with a circle in the middle representing the sun which is a forbidden symbol according to that church…so is the massive phallic symbol in the centre

And let’s not forget that repulsive sculpture that sits right behind the popes chair..

It’s depiction of christ is awful.. but that’s not the worst bit.. again, there is a hidden image in this sculpture.. you can check this out for yourself..

Let’s mirror the image and see what we get..

BAPHOMET!!!!

Can we really allow these creeps to carry on re-writing the rules to protect themselves and keep them in power in order to be rich and gloating and have this insane grip on peoples hearts, minds and souls?

If you’re still not convinced that these liars are not as bad as I’m making them out to be.. how’s this?

More symbology.. forbidden apparently..

Wicca is more in line with “Earth day” and the protection of everything.. it’s not about enforcing burka wearing or giving 10% of your wages to  a church each and every Sunday morning for the rest of your life either…

At least with Wicca, you can touch, taste, see, hear and smell everything that you worship…whereas most other religions rely on something called faith.. faith in someone that someone else created out of thin air..

Global connections that span the test of time!!

(UPDATED.. due to request in comments section)

On an almost daily basis, I am seeing more and more things that appear to be deeply connected in some shape or form. As you may know, this site is aimed at the 30,000 year old cave art of Chauvet and its hidden meanings. These hidden bits of art are incredible on their own but made even more so when you actually find someting of worthy comparison.

On this page you will see a connection with a face I found in the cave and Leonardo da Vinci

http://www.chauvetdreams.co.uk/who-was-ra/

That is one example of the things that are popping out of  the cave but this connection below was made just yesterday (16/08/13) Here you will see a mirror image of a set of lions that appear to be guarding a chalice or grail… (this is not photoshopped, this is a direct vertically mirrored image of this particular section of the cave art)

lions chalice vase

Now here is a roman relief from a church in Austria (the pose of the lions is known as ‘lions rampant’)

1005821_10151659940399132_283172139_n

How similar does it have to be before we decide that the cave art needs more investigation?

Staying on the theme of ‘lions rampant’ we get to see more of these images elsewhere around the world and from different periods in time. In this set we see these lions from Gobekli Tepe, an ancient Egyptian temple, Seminole park Texas and a view of a lion 150km above the earths surface.

lions rampant

So, what else do we currently have that we can almost say that what we see is an identical object but designed or built slightly differently? Well, how about temples or pyramid like structures, in particular, stepped ones..

1003673_347599865343294_349518324_n

An interesting line of structures stretching across the globe in amazing fashion.. It even gets personal with particular items seeming to have the same design are being found on pieces of art or carvings as well. What are they and why are we finding them everywhere?

1170872_10200637330152766_302446962_n

even  pine cones are involved..

1002340_633455580011826_1166537631_n

So with these few examples (there are loads more out there) I will leave you with a couple of interesting maps to go over that you can browse at your leisure and follow your own path back through time..

One thing does seem to be for sure.. we were here way before we think we were and we may have lost some way of living that is simply mind boggling

Well, here’s to Skeptic and Anonymous who both (might be the same person but it does not matter) suggested that there was some form of digital trickery going on (photoshopping) in the image of the lions guatfing the chalice from the 30,000 year old Chauvet cave art. A request was made for me ro post the original image. I will go one further than that :)

What you will now see is the original panel from the cave. Then below it will be a cropped version of the same image but cut off at the exact ‘mirror’ point so you can see where the image would ‘double up’. then I will put the mirrored image under that.

asetcrop

asetcrop1

.

lions chalice vase

As I discuss in my book on all of the things that I am finding in the art, there is usually some other piece of art that has something very similar with which to confirm exactly what you think you’re seeing. Almost no single hidden image does not have a ‘back up’ or confirmation to sustain itself. In other words, it’s a bit like having information on a web site but it is linked to another website where that information came from. This is the principle behind a lot of the hidden work here in the cave. This mirror technique is no exception as you are about to see.

If you look at the original panel you will see a lot of lions.. and a face.. a humanoid face, over on the far right hand side. I’ve presented this face on another page, but this is here to show how the mirroring is confirmed. So, again the original, with the mirror crop, then the mirror.

asetcrop

asetcrop11

a face of ra - Copy1

So, there you have it! It helps, but it hinders at the same time as it just opens up a whole lot of questions and thoughts like never before. Why is this art so clever? Who really painted it? How long did it take to plan such things? Who, or what, is this humanoid face? Plus a lot more questions.

Scientists successfully teleport information in an electronic circuit

In a paper published yesterday in the journal Nature, a team of researchers from Zurich has demonstrated the ability to control quantum teleportation using what looks like nothing more than a microchip. This new research development could change the very face of computing and technological security.

“People automatically think about Star Trek when they hear teleportation,” says physicist Andreas Wallraff, of the Quantum Device Lab at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich. “In Star Trek, it’s the idea of moving people from point A to B without having the person travel that distance. They disappear and then reappear.” Quantum teleportation is a little bit different. It does not actually transport objects from one point to another, but instead transfers information about the object and integrates that information into a new object.

Quantum teleportation itself is nothing new. In 1993, an international group of six scientists were able to show that teleportation is in fact possible in principle. Later in 1997, physicists developed a technique that achieved quantum teleportation, but it was inconsistent and only a fraction of the information actually got transported.

The ancient town where they sliced their dead in half and buried them from the pelvis up

  • Bulgarian town thought to date back as far as 4700BC

  • Residents made their living mining for salt, an important resource that made them wealthy

  • Evidence also suggests the town had already developed a class system

Residents of what is thought to be Europe’s oldest town cut their dead in half and buried them from the pelvis up, according to archaeologists.

The newly discovered ancient settlement, thought to date back to 4700BC, is near the Bulgarian town of Provadia, about 25 miles from the country’s Black Sea coast.

Archaeology professor Vassil Nikolov led the dig which focused on the town itself and its necropolis, where the strange and complex burial rituals were discovered.

At the Very Least, Your Days of Eating Pacific Ocean Fish Are Over

Opinion by Gary Stamper

The heart-breaking news from Fukushima just keeps getting worse…a LOT worse…it is, quite simply, an out-of-control flow of death and destruction. TEPCO is finally admitting that radiation has been leaking to the Pacific Ocean all along. and it’s NOT over….

I find myself moving between the emotions of sorrow and anger.

It now appears that anywhere from 300 to possibly over 450 tons of contaminated water that contains radioactive iodone, cesium, and strontium-89 and 90, is flooding into the Pacific Ocean from the Fukushima Daichi site everyday. To give you an idea of how bad that actually is, Japanese experts estimate Fukushima’s fallout at 20-30 times as high as as the Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear bombings in 1945

There’s a lot you’re not being told. Oh, the information is out there, but you have to dig pretty deep to find it, and you won’t find it on the corporate-owned evening news.

Offa's Dyke: Part Of Monument Bulldozed

An investigation has been launched after a section of Offa’s Dyke – the ancient earthwork running along the England and Wales border – was levelled with a bulldozer.

Police have been alerted and Cadw, the Welsh Government’s heritage service, is making inquiries into damage to a stretch of the 1200-year-old protected monument, which experts have likened to “driving a road through Stonehenge”.

Travellers have been accused of using a bulldozer to flatten at least 50-yards of the dyke, which lies in a World Heritage site, close to the Pontcysyllte aqueduct in North Wales, last Sunday.

The 8th century structure, which consists of a wide ditch and rampart, is Britain’s longest ancient monument at 82 miles long.

It is seen as one of the great engineering achievements of the pre-industrial age, and the most significant surviving structure from Anglo-Saxon times.

Hubble Zooms in on Galaxies in Early Universe

Astronomers using NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope have established that mature-looking galaxies existed much earlier than previously known, when the Universe was only 2.5 billion years old.

They used Hubble’s Wide Field Camera 3, Advanced Camera for Surveys and the Hubble’s Cosmic Assembly Near-infrared Deep Extragalactic Legacy Survey (CANDELS) to explore the shapes and colors of 1,671 extremely distant young galaxies over the last 80 percent of the Universe’s history.

“Finding them this far back in time is a significant discovery,” said Dr Bomee Lee of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, lead author of the study reported in the Astrophysical Journal (preprint at arXiv.org).

Dr Lee’s team confirms for an earlier period than ever before that the shapes and colors of the galaxies fit the visual classification system introduced in 1926 by Edwin Hubble and known as the Hubble Sequence. It classifies galaxies into two main groups: elliptical and spiral galaxies, and lenticular galaxies as a transitional group.

Study second author Dr Mauro Giavalisco, also from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, said: “why modern galaxies are divided into these two main types and what caused this difference is a key question of cosmology.”

You're watching... 'Shark whisperers' lull ocean predators into a trance

Sometimes you see things that you just have to share.. No matter what the topic!

In this short report, you will see how some divers ‘hypnotise’ sharks. It’s quite incredible to see the sharks just hanging in the water and being moved around by the divers. It’s as though the divers could do almsot anything to the sharks.

It would seem that the chain mail gloves the divers wear may have some effect as to how this works, but it is rather impressive to watch and not something you see every day..

Ancient Rock Walls and Formations in Australia may have dramatic implications - Part 1

Throughout our many expeditions wandering through the bush, time after time we kept running into rock formations and walls that, if consulting accredited texts and curriculum on Original history and geology, just didn’t seem to make sense. On more than one occasion, those on site have been unanimous in remarking that the uniformity of shape and precision of line and angles seem so similar to many ancient walls found throughout South America.

If just one of the six examples presented is indeed an artificial construction, this immediately contradicts a fundamental assumption underpinning all accepted versions of Original history before the British armada and soldiers invaded. We are assured that until the Invasion there was no metal blade in the Original tool-kit. The problem being, what we saw included a consistency and delicacy of incision, shape and form of rock that contradicts this technological vacuum.

Our intention in this article is to present a series of what at the very least can be called extreme geological anomalies, and most likely much more. Coincidentally or not, many of these formations are extremely close to the controversial Kariong Glyphs. We are of the opinion the hieroglyphs are not only genuine, but bear witness to two narratives, the most recent being an ancient Egyptian tale of misfortune and death, and an older account engraved in a much more ancient Original script. Irrespective of the credentials of these engravings, this site is merely a base point and background setting to these formations, tunnels and walls.

Fossil reveals features of mammal line that outlived dinosaurs

The earliest known members of a group of mammals that survived for 130 million years already had the anatomical features that enabled the animals to thrive in the shadows of dinosaurs — and to survive through their mass extinction.

A nearly complete skeleton described by palaeontologists belonged to a mammal that lived about 160 million years ago in what is now northeastern China. The animal was one of the earliest of the multituberculates — rodent-like mammals known by their distinctive, many-cusped teeth hat lend the group its moniker.

During most of their 130-million-year existence — one of the longest known for any mammalian lineage — these diverse creatures were the dominant mammals and occupied many ecological niches, says Zhe-Xi Luo, a vertebrate palaeontologist at the University of Chicago. Some multituberculates lived in trees, many were ground-dwellers and some even burrowed. “Before rodents came along, multituberculates played the same roles” that rodents would eventually claim in their ecosystems, he says.

US Misprinted 30 Million New $100 Bills

The US is approaching the release date of its new $100 bills, but the Bureau of Engraving and Printing is facing an embarrassing problem: 30 million bills were incorrectly printed, and fixing them will cost taxpayers an estimated $3.79 million.

The new $100 bills were designed to reduce counterfeiting, and were initially scheduled to be released in 2010. But that summer, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing noticed that the bills were being produced with a blank sliver, due to a fold in the paper. The release date was therefore pushed back to 2011, and again pushed back to Oct. 2013.

But additional printing problems could once again delay the release of the “Benjamins”.

The new $100 bills are designed to contain a Liberty Bell that changes its color, 3-D images that move when the bill is tilted, and a hidden message on the collar of Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founding Fathers.  Two currency factories are responsible for printing all US bills.

The hidden threat that could prevent Polio’s global eradication

Global eradication of polio has been the ultimate game of Whack-a-Mole for the past decade; when it seems the virus has been beaten into submission in a final refuge, up it pops in a new region. Now, as vanquishing polio worldwide appears again within reach, another insidious threat may be in store from infection sources hidden in plain view.

Polio’s latest redoubts are “chronic excreters,” people with compromised immune systems who, having swallowed weakened polioviruses in an oral vaccine as children, generate and shed live viruses from their intestines and upper respiratory tracts for years. Healthy children react to the vaccine by developing antibodies that shut down viral replication, thus gaining immunity to infection. But chronic excreters cannot quite complete that process and instead churn out a steady supply of viruses. The oral vaccine’s weakened viruses can mutate and regain wild polio’s hallmark ability to paralyze the people it infects. After coming into wider awareness in the mid-1990s, the condition shocked researchers.

Philip Minor, deputy director of the U.K.’s National Institute for Biological Standards and Control, describes the biomedical nightmare: Wild polioviruses stop circulating. Countries cut back on vaccination efforts. A chronic excreter kisses an unvaccinated baby, and the baby goes to day care. “And zappo,” he adds, “it’s all over the place, with babies drooling all over each other. So you could see a scenario where polio would come back from a developed country.”

But surely there must be more to this story? There has been an increase of reports on how vaccines are dangerous and possibly causing a lot of other dissorders, mostly seen in children, such as autism.

Why is it that the polio vaccine appears to have been so succesful, yet other vaccines seem to cause so much damage? Is the polio vaccine the only one that really works and is not in need of multiple stabilisers such as mercury or anti-freeze? I am not aware of the full ingredients of the polio vaccine, but these things cross my mind.

The success of the polio vaccine can only be measured in time as we do not know the future implications of trying to wipe out such a disease. It could come back twice as strong and cripple millions of lives far faster and we may never get rid of it. We have recently been hearing of new strains of flu that are not killed off by previous vaccines so these bugs are becoming super bugs and we are struggling to keep up with them.

Archaeologist Discover 'Gladiator' Emperor’s Own Colosseum

Archaeologists have uncovered an ancient structure in Genzano, Italy, which is thought to be a mini-colosseum that belonged to the Roman emperor Commodus depicted in the Hollywood film ‘Gladiator’.

The archaeologists from Montclair State University in New Jersey discovered the ancient building in a village southeast of Rome which overlooks Lake Nemi while excavating thermal baths in an old estate known as the Villa of Antonines.  Based historical references and artefacts, the site is believed to have been the property of the Antonine Dynasty (138–193), which begun with the reign of Antoninus Pius and included emperors Marcus Aurelius, Lucius Verus and Commodus.

The large oval structure measuring 200 feet by 130 feet with curved walls and marble floors is believed to have been the opulent setting in which Commodus practiced for his first semi-public appearances as a killer of animals and a gladiator, earning him the nickname ‘the Roman Hercules’.

Kepler telescope bags huge haul of planets

The science team sifting data from Nasa’s Kepler space telescope says it has identified 715 new planets beyond our Solar System.

This is a huge new haul.

In the nearly two decades since the first so-called exoplanet was first discovered, researchers had claimed the detection of just over 1,000 new worlds.

Kepler’s latest bounty orbit only 305 stars, meaning many are in multi-planet systems.

The vast majority, 95%, are smaller than our Neptune, which is four times the size of the Earth.

Four of the new planets are less than 2.5 times the size of Earth, and they orbit their host suns in the “habitable zone” – the region around a star where water can keep a liquid state.

Whether that is the case on these planets cannot be known for sure – Kepler’s target are hundreds of light-years in the distance. This is too far away for very detailed investigation.

Kepler was launched in 2009 on a $600m (£395m) mission to assess the likely population of Earth-sized planets in our Milky Way Galaxy.

Faulty pointing mechanisms eventually blunted its abilities last year, but not before it had identified thousands of possible, or candidate, worlds in a small patch of sky in the Constellation Lyra.

It did this by detecting the periodic variations in the brightness of stars caused by orbiting exoplanets passing in front of them.

Douglas Hudgins from Nasa’s astrophysics division summed up the significance of the latest news: “This is the largest windfall of planets that’s ever been announced at one time. Second, these results establish that planetary systems with multiple planets around one star, like our own Solar System, are in fact common.

“Third, we know that small planets – planets ranging from the size of Neptune down to the size of the Earth – make up the majority of planets in our galaxy.”

One analysis of Kepler data published in November suggested that perhaps one in five stars like our Sun hosts an Earth-sized world located in the habitable zone.

Trove of pristine shipwrecks may be buried around Antarctica

The oceans surrounding Antarctica may be littered with buried shipwrecks in pristine condition, new research suggests.

Researchers came to that conclusion, detailed Aug. 13 in the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society B, after burying wood and bone at the depths of the Antarctic oceans and analyzing the handiwork of worms and mollusks more than a year later.

“The bones were infested by a carpet of red-plumed Osedax worms, which we have named as a new species Osedax antarcticus but the wood planks were untouched, with not a trace of the wood-eating worms,” study co-author Adrian Glover, an aquatic invertebrates researcher at the Natural History Museum in London, said in an email. “The wood was hardly degraded either, after 14 months on the seafloor.”

That finding suggests that some of the most iconic shipwrecks including the Endurance, the most famous ship to ever sail to Antarctica could be perfectly preserved in the icy waters near the southern continent. [Shipwrecks Gallery: Secrets of the Deep]

US brain project puts focus on ethics

The false mouse memories made the ethicists uneasy. By stimulating certain neurons in the hippocampus, Susumu Tonegawa and his colleagues caused mice to recall receiving foot shocks in a setting in which none had occurred1. Tonegawa, a neuroscientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, says that he has no plans to ever implant false memories into humans — the study, published last month, was designed just to offer insight into memory formation.

But the experiment has nonetheless alarmed some neuroethicists. “That was a bell-ringer, the idea that you can manipulate the brain to control the mind,” says James Giordano, chief of neuroethics studies at Georgetown University in Washington DC. He says that the study is one of many raising ethical concerns, and more are sure to come as an ambitious, multi-year US effort to parse the human brain gets under way.

The BRAIN (Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies) Initiative will develop technologies to understand how the brain’s billions of neurons work together to produce thought, emotion, movement and memory. But, along with the discoveries, it could force scientists and society to grapple with a laundry list of ethical issues: the responsible use of cognitive-enhancement devices, the protection of personal neural data, the prediction of untreatable neurodegenerative diseases and the assessment of criminal responsibility through brain scanning

Extinctions of Large Animals Sever the Earth's 'Nutrient Arteries'

A new study has demonstrated that large animals have acted as carriers of key nutrients to plants and animals over thousands of years and on continental scales.

The paper in the advance online publication of the journal Nature Geoscience explains that vital nutrients are contained in the dung and bodies of big animals. As they eat and move more than small animals, they have a particularly important role in transporting nutrients into areas where the soil is otherwise infertile.

In the study, the researchers use a new mathematical model to calculate the effect of mass extinctions of big animals around 12,000 years ago, focusing on a case study of the Amazon forest. They estimate that extinctions back then reduced the dispersal of phosphorus in the Amazon by 98%, with far-reaching environmental consequences that remain to this day. The model also enables them to forecast the likely environmental effects of the extinction of large animals currently under threat in Africa and Asian forests.

Up until 12,000 years ago, much of the world looked like an African savannah. For instance, South America was teeming with large animals, described by scientists as ‘megafauna’ — a term for animals with a body mass of more than 44kg (the size of a large dog). These megafauna in South America, which overlapped with the earliest humans, included several species of elephant-like creatures, giant ground sloths, and armadillo-like creatures the size of a small car. In South America, most nutrients originate in the Andes mountain range and are washed into the forests through the river system. However, on dry land, these nutrients are in short supply unless they are transported through animal dung and bodies. While small animals distribute nutrients over small distances, large animals have a much greater range. According to the study, the extinctions of large animals 12,000 years ago wiped out one of the main means of transporting nutrients far from the rivers creating a nutrient deficiency which continues to affect plant and animal life in parts of the region today.

Ancient Roman Shipwreck May Contain 2,000-Year-Old Food

For fans of Italian cuisine, the news of a well-preserved ancient Roman shipwreck — whose cargo of food might still be intact — will surely whet their appetites.

The ship is believed to be about 2,000 years old and is buried in the mud off the coast of Varazze, Italy, according to The Age. The mud kept the wreck hidden for centuries, but also helped to preserve it and its cargo, held in clay jars known as amphorae.

“There are some broken jars around the wreck, but we believe that most of the amphorae inside the ship are still sealed and food-filled,” Lt. Col. Francesco Schilardi, commander of the police diving team that found the shipwreck, told the BBC. [Photos: Shipwreck Alley's Sunken Treasures]

Local fishermen suspected there might be a wreck in the area, because pieces of pottery kept turning up in their nets. Police divers used a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) to locate the shipwreck about 160 feet (50 meters) underwater.

Personal jetpack gets flight permit for manned test

The New Zealand developers of a personalized jetpack said Tuesday that aviation regulators have issued the device with a flying permit, allowing for manned test flights.

Martin Aircraft chief executive Peter Coker said the certification was a significant milestone in the development of the jetpack, which the company hopes to begin selling next year.

“For us it’s a very important step because it moves it out of what I call a dream into something which I believe we’re now in a position to commercialize and take forward very quickly,” Coker told AFP.

The jetpack is the brainchild of inventor Glenn Martin, who began working on it in his Christchurch garage more than 30 years ago.

Inspired by childhood television shows such as “Thunderbirds” and “Lost in Space”, Martin set out in the early 1980s to create a jetpack suitable for everyday use by ordinary people with no specialist pilot training.

His jetpack consists of a pair of cylinders containing propulsion fans attached to a free-standing carbon-fibre frame.

8,000-year-old figurine found in Turkey

Associate Professor Zafer Derin said they had found very important pieces during this year’s excavations, adding that the four-centimeter head of the statue had a special meaning as it was the first of its kind discovered in Turkey.

Women and fertility were sacred in western Anatolian culture, Derin said, adding that the area was the center of the ‘mother goddess’ culture. “We have the head of a mother goddess figure. We know that worship of ‘mother goddesses’ was common in this region in the past, but we have found the four-centimeter head of a goddess statue for the first time in Turkey. People used to put this statue in their home to have healthier children. This small piece is a very beautiful one from 6000 B.C.”

Derin said the name of Anatolia came from the holiness of the ‘mother goddess’, according to the view of some, adding that they had seen the same portrayal in pots found in the region.

He said another significant find unearthed during the Yeşilova excavations was a seal in the shape of a shoe. “People used to carry this seal with them and use it when a signature was necessary.”

Derin said the Yeşilova excavations, were currently hosting scientists from Europe and the U.S.

Badger digs up medieval warrior graves

A badger has led German archaeologists to a stunning find of medieval warrior graves, complete with one skeleton still clutching a sword and a wearing snake-shaped buckle on his belt. Scientists are now examining the burial site where at least eight people were buried.

Germany-badger-warrior-grave

Artist and voluntary monument maintenance man Lars Wilhelm said he was watching badgers near his home in Brandenburg, north Germany, when he realized they were digging into an ancient grave.

He said he had been watching the progress of an enormous badger sett for five years. “My wife and I – we are both sculptors – wanted to put artworks in there.”

But this was now out of the question, he said. “The bones changed everything,” he added.

The Berliner Zeitung newspaper said Wilhelm called the experts as soon as he realized the animals had dug up bones. Archaeologists moved in and expanded the work of the badgers, freeing up eight graves, two of which were of noblemen.
